Golf R Coming to the US

This normally European-only version of the GTI will finally come to the states thanks to VW enthusiasts. The R version of the GTI gets a 270hp, 2.0lt turbocharged four cylinder engine, with either a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed with automatic shifting, or DSG. This is the quickest version of VW's famous Golf on the market today and will arrive next year with a sticker price in the mid-30ks.

What Ive Been Waiting For: The BMW 1-Series M Coupe!!!

The BMW 1-series is my second favorite BMW behind the M3. Ive been waiting for BMW to come out with an M version of the 1-series for awhile. There has been talk of the model for months now and finally the concept is complete. This segment is a review of the engine from Car and Driver's website, "Under the hood, which notably lacks the signature power bump sported by all other M vehicles, from the M3 to the 5400-pound X5 M, is the great differentiator. Where the M3 packs its screaming 8400-rpm V-8—and where screaming, high-rpm engines are supposed to be an M trademark—the 1-series M coupe is powered by the twin-turbo inline-six of yore. Don’t be too disappointed, though, as output has been ratcheted up to 335 hp and 332 lb-ft of nominal torque. As in the 335is, an overboost function makes 369 lb-ft available for brief spurts. Zero-to-60-mph sprints should take about 4.3 seconds." This little car is a beast. This car hits the streets in the spring with a sticker price around $43,000. I know i'm excited, are you??

Needs Work

 I noticed a leak under my car the other day. There was spots on the ground where ever i parked. I took my car to the place i get my oil changed because i thought it was oil and they told me my transmission was leaking. Shoot. I made an appointment with Honda to check it out. They told me i had a broken axle seal, my power steering pump and hose is leaking, and my starter is going bad. $1600 to fix. Not what i was expecting.

Mercedes "Magic" Suspension

Mercedes engineers are developing a new suspension for their cars calling it "Magic Body Control". It is an improvement from their already advanced and sofisticated suspension system. The new system uses cameras to view the road in front of the car and the "magic" suspenison adjusts the shocks individually for all four wheels to give the most comfortable and unjostled ride. Mercedes engineers are saying it practically neutralizes every imperfection in the road. This new technology is still in development stages and will not be seen in any Mercedes-Benz models for a few years.

Ariel Atom: My Favorite 2 Seater

One of the most interesting looking cars ive ever seen, the Ariel Atom 3, features an F1 style, skeleton like body. It has an optional 300hp supercharged 2.0 liter Honda k20 motor (thats more than 100hp per liter!) that launches this little beast from 0-60 in sub 3 seconds! You can get this mini F1 racer for under $50,000, which is amazing considering the output this car has compared to most V8 muscle cars. Watch Top Gears' Jeremy Clarkson get his face ripped apart by this supercharged rocket on youtube or on BBC America on TV.

Manual Hybrid???

Honda just released a brand new sport hybrid that gives you the option to have the feel of a sports car interlaced with a hybrid low emmisions vehicle. The new CR-Z features a six-speed manual transmission and achieves 31 mpg city and 37 mpg highway fuel consumption, which is less than your typical auto hybrid, but much more than your average six-speed sports coupe. This model features a similar six-speed transmission found in Honda's notorious S2000 and Civic Si and Acura's RSX-Type S.
